NTER is the National Training and Education Resource. It is a Learning Management System (LMS) with an integrated course authoring capability and a Content Management System (CMS) called the Portal. The LMS uses illias and the Portal uses Liferay. With NTER you can create courses in the industry standard SCORM (Shareable Content Object Reference Model) format that contain text, graphics, video, tables, tests, and reports.
NTER was created under the guidance of the U.S. Department of Energy as an open source learning tool.
While NTER is operational across the US, this site on SourceForge is an open source resource. Subscribe to receive updates as we add content to the WIKI. This site is always being developed.

NTER HUB INSTALLER
Setup your own node (LMS and Portal) via hub.nterlearning.org on Amazon Web Services (AWS). This is updated since September 2, 2014. This install process still requires manual intervention though [NTER Portal Setup Finalization (After Using Hub)].
[AWS Elastic IP Recommendations] - by default, hub.nterlearning.org does NOT assign an AWS Elastic IP, this is not a best practice. So follow these steps to ensure your system will be operational after a reboot.
