No

Hi, I'm currently designed a JSON template for Mediainfo, which works pretty well, except in fields where the info has double quotes, so since there's zero documentation about template creation, I like to know if there's some kind of method (similar to $if) in order to replace strings in a field. Thanks

The template feature was more a proof of concept than something to be heavily used, lot of people using it but nobody for sponsoring this feature :(.

For the moment, there is no escaping possible. But it is something often requested (as well as JSON output ;-) ).
I'll try to add a feature for having the possibility to escape a specific character (e.g. "\") without using an external program or script.

Thanks, although II believe that since there's requesting, would be better to put efforts to add the feature to export as json.

It is also in the pipe, just longer to implement (if I officially output JSON, I have to maintain it so it must be "perfect") and the escape feature may be use for other usages.
