    MICROMECHANICS

    MICROMECHANICS

A collection of lecture notes and accompanying code on micromechanics

The collection MICROMECHANICS (micromechanics.zip) includes: (1) lecture notes (microbook.pdf) on the analysis of heterogeneous materials and homogenization, and (2) source codes (microcode.tar.bz2) that accompany the computational exercises in Part II of the notes. Instructions on using the codes are given in the README file of each exercise. Further instructions can be found in the file microcode.tar.bz2. The MATLAB codes are used for visualization, evaluating analytical bounds and estimates as well as in the generation of digital and particulate microstructures. The Fortran codes are based on the finite element method in linear and nonlinear settings, the latter capable of finite deformations with damage. The underlying theory is outlined in the lecture notes. -- İlker Temizer Assistant Professor Department of Mechanical Engineering Bilkent University 06800 Bilkent, Ankara Turkey

    Ichnaea

    Performance Timing Tools

Ichnaea is a set of tools that aid in collecting and tracking parameters and timings for parallel applications. The Performance Modelling Timing Module, PMTM, is a library that wraps system timing calls to abstract these from code developers and aid portability. It also has functionality to store parameters and print those, along with the timing information to a comma separated variable file. The Performance Modelling Analysis Tool, PMAT, is coming soon. This is able to read in and store the outputs from PMTM and produce some graphs based on user-defined criteria. Documentation found in the Wiki. As of March 2015, main development has been switched to the UK Mini-Application Consortium Github page. Work on PMTM from the unreleased version 2.6.0 can be found here: https://github.com/UK-MAC/PMTM Work on PMAT version 3 will be commencing shortly here: https://github.com/UK-MAC/PMAT Tarballs of releases will continue to be available here.

    opticsbenchui

Software for the automation of optics lab experiments

OpticsBenchUI software is dedicated to the automation of optics lab experiments. Optics instruments are interfaced using several other open source projects among which dc1394, aravis, comedi. OpticsBenchUI allows inter-operation of digital cameras (Firewire, GigE Vision, CameraLink), actuators (RS232, USB, Ethernet), spatial light modulators (SLM), digital I/O and analog I/O boards (counters, DAC, ADC) and a Supercontinuum laser source (CP210X USB to UART bridge). Each instrument can be configured and operated individually. Strategy scans involving all instruments can be programmed in a simple acquisition panel. Data are saved in a hierachical way, adapted to scan profiles (HDF5 file format). The graphical user interface is based on open source Qt.

Fortran codes for SCNURS method - Side Cut Non-Uniform Residual Stress

SCNURS - Side Cut Non-Uniform Residual Stress measurement method for plates, - is a destructive RS measurement method developed in Moscow, Russia and later in Bristol, UK. The method is specifically designed for the measurement of highly non-uniform RS fields, including discontinuities, in plates. This project collects all codes which implement forward and inverse solution to the RS problem. The codes are in modern Fortran with OpenMP. The codes are distributed under 2-clause BSD license. The code uses Lapack (http://netlib.org/lapack), Slatec (http://www.netlib.org/slatec) and CMLIB (http://gams.nist.gov/cgi-bin/serve.cgi/Package/CMLIB) libraries. All these libraries are available as packages on FreeBSD.
